We returned to The Bentley for our May meeting with 20 members and 5 guests. Well done to Zish and our captain Richard for scoring 39 points with Zish winning on Countback. Also well done to Dave Burt’s guest Terry Martin and my son Nick both with 31 points with Terry winning on countback. Our captain is becoming Mr Consistency and will be the man to beat for the aggregate cup again this year.
We also celebrated with Malcom as he welcomed his new grandson to the world
Stephen Barker had negotiated a great deal for us following the disappointing condition of the Bentley last year. The course this time round was in excellent condition and the wind made a tough course even harder. The new hole the 12th a par 3 has now been finished and was well worth the effort the club made.
The golfing gods came out to play for last months winner Dave Burt who this month got the booby. You know it’s not going to be your day when you leave your ball a few inches from the pond only for a seagull to pick it up and deposit it in the pond …………. Anybody know what the rule is for that???? Answers in the comments section please
